Pc wont boot
« on: 17-September-15, 07:34:28 »

Hi,
My comp was knocked over and it worked for like 3 weeks. Than randomly 3 days ago my pc randomly would reboot. just this morning i figured it was the psu. But i am starting to think its the mobo because my keyboard wont even light up and doesn't work so i cant get into the bios. But everything else lights up all the fans work fine. They are still super quiet. So i am stumped. If anyone has any ideas let me know please.

Have tried re-seating everything? Maybe a ram chip is not seated nicely or a cable is not tight.

does your keyboard a wireless keyboard or not? If yes, maybe you should try with a corded keyboard and try to get in the bios . Hope that your problem will be fixed quickly :undecided:

how did u knock over ur pc over so badly? did it fall like 10 feet or something? :hiha:

i mean, my pc been knocked a few times and it still works fine

if its a old computer and doesnt work id recommend just taking it apart, selling the parts and getting a new one

Check your mouse plug some time if you pull it too much didn't conect well try different USB port if is use mouse software is give you crash mouse driver is taking crash can be all of that but definitely is not your mobo bc if it was it will stuck to start screen or will give you some kind of errors...

It's probably your hard drive as it is the first to fail when dropped, or try clearing your cmos memory

I would recommend opening up your pc and check all the parts especially your motherboard, ram, and hardrive.

Because various people came by guessing on a problem that had never been explained by the OP despite he had been asked to list at least system specs in September and because OP never came back this topic is locked.
