MSI Core Frozr XL Question
« on: 24-September-19, 08:01:54 »

Hello,

I started building a new PC recently for Windows 10 as the hardware on my Windows 7 rigs are not compatible.  I bought the following:
MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC
Intel i7 9700k
MSI Core Frozr XL
Cougar Gemini T RGB Glass Wing Mid-Tower
MSI Geforce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio (arriving today)

I've already installed everything above the graphics card and here's where my question comes in.  Can I run the Core Frozr XL with just one fan? The one facing the back of the tower?  I've tried adjusting the height of the one closest to the ram slots, but when I do, I cannot close the case.  I know it is a known issue that it can obstruct the first ram slot and in my case it does.  And it looks like it might partially be in the way of the second.  So can I run it with one fan? I know it was designed for two, but how bad would it hurt minus the one closest to the ram?  I've never had a cpu cooler that had two fans before.

Thanks.

Thank you.  That knowledge really frees up my options for RAM.
