- What processor, and motherboard to get.?
« on: 23-December-15, 06:40:52 »

My Build :

Case : cooler master silencio 550
PSU : cooler master G750M
GPU : Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 4GB.
SSD : Kingston SHFS37A120G.
RAM : 8GBx2 gskill sniper 1866.

.- I am trying to make myself a good msi gamer pc,
but its kinda hard.

- Atm. i have a broken motherboard,
sounds does not work.
And my cpu is not matching that motherboard.
- Motherboard : ga-870a-ud3
CPU : amd fx-4300.

So my question is,
what processor & motherboard should i invest in,
for getting a desent msi gamer pc out of this. ?

- Ive always been an AMD kinda person,
but lately ive thought about trying something new.
Like intel. But im not sure.

- Games i would like to play in the future.
Sims 4.
Batman ( Arkham knight. )
Maybe, Watch dogs.
Assiens creed.

- Is there anyone who would be able to help me choose a decent gaming motherboard,
and a matching cpu? :D

My maximum budget is : 365,73 USD.
- But if possible about : 292,59 USD.
But i know if i want something good, well it will cost :)
Michelle.

AMD systems are alot slower when it comes to gaming then a current Intel system. For The GTX 960 4GB I'd use a budget Intel system. With Skylake being still a bit more pricey you could make a good deal with a Haswell system. The Core i5-4460 would therefor be a good cpu. You could pair it with an MSI H97 PC-Mate or MSI Z97 PC Mate. Both good budget boards. I'd only buy AMD if budget is even tighter. Then you could pair the MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition with an AMD FX-8320.

Thank you very much for reply so fast.

I remembered i maybe should have added my ram specs also. 'So just did.

So if i got myself a i5-4460+MSI Z97 PC Mate.

It would be able to play games, ect.
Games on facebook ect. ( farmville 2 )
- Im surpriced this is enough, hehe.
I was looking at the msi gaming series.
Also becus ive seen about the E2200 killer LAN.
- But that is only in those motherboards right?
I use pc for video stream also, so would E2200 be a good choice?
Trying to learn,  did i misunderstood that with E2200. Should make LAN more stabile.
E2200 is not in pc mate ones right :)
Im sorry for soooo many questions, ´
but i so much want to learn ! :D

With i5-4460+MSI Z97 PC Mate you can play ANY game just fine. The extra price for Gaming series boards are to be paid for gimmicks (nice gimmicks but gimmicks none the less), looks and oc options (at least on Z97 boards). With almost no oc possible with a 4460 a PC Mate covers anything you need. Killer Lan is nothing you need. With the Intel Lan of the PC Mate you have a perfect connection. Killer Lan is a gimmick. The connection is not better and if you have any advantage in Games is to be doubted. If you want a Gaming board you won't buy something wrong but you can save the money and will have the same experience in games.
