Activating Cooler Boost without the button
« on: 16-January-16, 04:20:08 »

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased a GP62 2QE, and so far really happy with it. I am trying to arrange a setup in which I can use the laptop without opening the lid. This means being able to wake the computer through an external keyboard (this I have done), and ideally activating Cooler Boost without the button. Is there a way to achieve the latter? I'm thinking there might be a way to access the Cooler boost control software so that I could turn it on from the screen, or arrange a hotkey on the keyboard to this end. Any ideas?

Thanks for your time,

Sam

Thanks for the reply. I am looking at using the SilentOption utility now, to see if I can get a similar effect to Cooler Boost through software, but the program is proving to be quite buggy. Oh well!
