WT72: Autodesk Stingray
« on: 07-December-16, 18:46:40 »

Autodesk Stingray is an intuitive 3D game engine and real-time rendering software. It connects directly to Autodesk 3D animation tools. Moreover, Stingray allows for using VR for games and design visualization. Now even non-coders can create games with a node-based scripting system.

The great news is that Autodesk has a platform which provides tools’ integration with Beast, Maya LT and Scaleform all at once, thanks to the technology built from the BitSquid engine. Other features include advanced visuals and rendering, proven creative toolset, versatile game logic creation and multiplatform development and testing.

Since the UI of BitSquid has been written in HTML5, there are certain benefits. For example, since UI is completely disconnecting from the engine, the engine will still run should the viewport crash. Being based on 64-bit architecture, it separates the renderer and the core technology from the data sets. This simplifies making big changes to the engine.

There are some cool features, such as taking ready-made nodes and dropping them into where you usually type a code. There is also physically-based rendering for producing high-level visuals and other helpful tools. Basically, Stingray is good for both demanding programmers and newcomers.

Getting your game on the target platform will be easier as you can link the engine’s editor to the target device. Using the editor, developer is able to see the device (PS4, Xbox One or iPad) and apply changes on the fly as they are being asked for.

The beauty of Stingray is that it’s not tied to any specific game genre. You can produce FPS, RPG, RTS and other types. It takes less time than usually and the quality of the content is impeccable.

Designing living space or an office before going into the actual construction is a turning point in the construction industry. Customers can select objects, light effects, materials and other elements to see how the whole idea will look in real life. Using VR, it will be just priceless.

Do you want to make sure Stingray really does run smoothly and efficiently with all its featured functions? Then you should go for WT72 with NVIDIA Quadro, ECC RAM memory, 100% AdobeRGB wide-view 4K panel, True Color Technology and Dynaudio sound.

The first mobile workstation which supports VR technology will be your greatest companion with multi-functionality and absolute stability. The fact that you can do you work efficiently in a coffee shop or anywhere else feels priceless.

By the way, it easily fits into my backpack and doesn’t feel as heavy as you might imagine :)
