CRYORIG C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler                                                                                        $45
MSI H110M GAMING Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard                                                         $97.90
Crucial 4GB DDR4-2133 Memory                                                                                              $43.99
Seagate BarraCuda 500GB 5400RPM HD                                                                              $65
MSI GeForce GT 730 2GB Video Card                                                                                      $89
BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower Case                                                                                           $59
Fractal Design Edison M 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply   $95
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Would this be a start or is too high/low for a first build?

Hi

Some advise:
4GB is not sufficient. Not worth going below 8GB, which is low anyway. 16GB is sweet spot, but you may increase RAM later. Just dont go below 8GB.

GT730 is very weak ans not worth the money. Even low end games might struggle to run smoothly. I would suggest you don't go below GTX960/1050Ti or if AMD doesnt scare you: RX 470.

On HDD you might want to grab 7200RPM one. 5400 sometimes suffers (I got such in my laptop, some games barely run smoothly).

Otherwise all looks fine. PSU Gold rated, good choice.

Thank you for that, ill go switch it over now and see if i can some good stuff rolling.

i was going to do a GTX 970 but i lost what one it was so i put that there instead due to certain reasons.
and remember its just a start, parts will be upgraded as they need to be, I'm not going to be doing VR stuff nor crazy Max Graphics GTA 5 stuff.

But thank you again for pointing out the hard drive and graphics.

I'm currently using 4GB ram, 1.6 GHz (turbo-2.4) quad core Pentium, integrated HD graphics, in a laptop and I'm running games like Minecraft with around 20-40 medium to large mods on at least 60 fps solid.
and i can run banished on max graphics. on a MIN of 58FPS (don't ask how I'm doing that 'cause i don't know.)

GTX960 or GTX1050Ti is nothing crazy. And 4GB of RAM is certainly under average. You want to have 8GB or more, as if you install Win 32Bit(limit of 4GB of RAM) now, then in the future you will have to reinstall Windows to 64bit.

Dude, one advise: you don't need a I5. I would say downgrade your CPU to a i3 and put the money you save into a better storage option like a ssd, hdd combo. And a better gpu. Also wait on ryzen. It is very promising and ryzen will certainly shake up the CPU prices in a good way.

450W is plenty. Especially that it is Gold rated.
Anyway, OP got the advice, and haven't been online for 2 weeks now.
