Mh, strange.  I wonder what causes these issues.  Let me wait for more feedback (either here or in the German MSI Forum).  If these problems affect more users than you, I will take down the BIOS.

It would be interesting to find out, what causes this (maybe some AUTO Memory settings (e.g. Command Rate).

BTW: Have you tested the latest Final Release yet (A7520IMS.190)?  It is sure newer than A7520IMS.194, which is a pre-final release.

This user tested v1.A2 as well:

... and did have no issues whatsoever.

No problems with the final 190...

Yeah, better stay away from M-Flash.  This feature still has a tendency to not work properly.

@ZenFire:

Whatever caused your problems with v1.A2, it does not seem to be a general problem. This user here:

http://msi-forum.de/index.php?page=Thread&postID=721769#post721769

... flashed the BIOS as well and he had no problems whatsoever after that.

Yes, this is a huge necropost, but I hope it ends up helping some hapless MSI Eclipse SLI user out there somewhere....

I have been using my MSI Eclipse SLI motherboard since February of 2009. It has run flawless for me, right up until last month...

I finally had the opportunity to upgrade my GPU's to 2 EVGA GTX 1080's that I wanted to put in SLI. I simply could not get my motherboard to work in SLI until I downgraded from BIOS version 1.F (also known as version 1.15) to BIOS version 1.9.

Doing so will cause you to lose the functionality they added in later BIOS versions, some of which might be really important to some guys; like the ability to run Gulftown processors.

But if you're running a vintage rig like I am with an i7 920 and you are wondering why you cannot get SLI to work in your MSI Eclipse SLI motherboard, save yourself the weeks of frustration, aggravation, and sleepless nights I went through: If you can't get SLI to work, downgrade your BIOS to version 1.9 and you'll be good.

I still love my old MSI Eclipse SLI motherboard, and am so happy I was able to get this thing to work in SLI. Unfortunately, I'll have to skip the Gulftown processor upgrade I wanted to get for her, but hey, at least I got two 1080's in SLI working. It's really unfortunate that the final BIOS MSI released for this board isn't capable of supporting SLI. : /

Still running my old x58 board, and loving it, I remain...

Necrotically yours,

--Floorpizza

Edit: I hope this might help someone out, too. You *MUST* use the instructions in this link https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=108079.0 to upgrade/downgrade the BIOS in your MSI Eclipse SLI motherboard. Follow them *exactly* and you will have no problems at all.
