Pretty Darn Happy!!!
« on: 24-July-17, 18:19:53 »

:agrees: I'd just built myself my first MSI gaming machine. It's last gen parts because us poor people wanna play games too! I'm going through cancer treatments and lost my job and my wife is currently studying for her DDS (doc of dental surgery) so duckets are tight. As much as I want an R7 machine, I was happy to get my FX machine! NO IT'S NOT A 4K, VR 1MILLION FPS MONSTER... but it's still FREAKIN SWEEEEEEEET! All built around the RED AND BLACK motif offered by my S340 Elite Mid-ATX case with red led's. Growing up in the 80's was a weird and pretty awesome time... I know younger folks must hear that a lot from people from my gen, but during that time, everyone was trying to be cool, AND THAT WAS COOL! LOL! It's not anymore... I'm not delusional or insane... just old. Anyway, my point is, when I was 8 years old, the event of my YOUNG COOL 80's KID LIFE occurred in the way of a MOTION PICTURE. Not just any motion picture, but one of my favorite TOY FRANCHISE/SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON SERIES ON EARTH AT THE TIME! My uncle Arnold and my Mum took me to see none other than TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE staring Judd Nelson as HOT ROD/RODIMUS PRIME! In HONOR of the most HARSH bro in all 80's movie'dom, I DUBBED MY AMAZING MSI GAMING SYSTEM RODIMUS PRIME!

MSI 990FXA GAMING Motherboard
AMD FX8350 Unlocked Black Ed. 4.0ghz OC'd to 4.4ghz (30c-53c Stable)
Cooler Master Hyper EVO 212
16gbs of G.skill 1866mhz DDR3 (2x8)
Creative SoundBlaster Zx (takes a huge load off CPU for sound processing)
MSI GTX 980 OCV1 Pushed FURTHER via MSI Afterburner (CPU +150 RAM +250, 32c-82c Stable)
64gb Crucial m4 SSD 2.5 (boot)
240gb PNY XLR8 SSD (swap/app/games)
5tbs of WD and Hitatchi Frakenmix HDD's from past builds (hard drives are good until they aren't) for various storage of vids/music/lesser games/misc...

EVGA G3 850w GOLD

THE LAST PHOTO IN THE LIST FEATURING THE LOGO WAS TAKEN PRIOR TO THE REPLACEMENT DOOR ARRIVING!

This Machine ALSO features (as you can see) a nice 3D Transformers Emblem Headphone Hanger, a Special Edition Geforce Aftershock lvl3 Gaming Headset, custom printed METAL, SHINED 3D stickers on front panel for AMD, Geforce and Win 10 by Vath Ventures, a certified Collectable TOPS trading sticker of Rodimus Prime as he opens the Autobot Matrix in the 1986 Transformers Movie (animated) hand placed by yours truly in a custom MYLAR plastic casing. ALL THE GAMES I PLAY EXCEPT WILDLANDS, I GET 60FPS IN 1080p WITH MOST OR ALL GFX OPTIONS MAXXED! This GTX 980 OCV1 is still a BEAST!!! MSI, YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO BE MY NEXT BUILD TOO!!!

LOVE PEACE AND CHICKEN GREASE!!!

P.S. As I am disabled at the moment due to illness, I had to employ the assistance of a real good buddy who's an OC expert! I could not do it alone!

Sweet setup mate. I also grew up on the 80s and Transformers was the bomb!
