My MSI Infinite A VR7RF-006US just came in this week, and overall I really like it. However, the moment I play a game, like Fortnite Battle Royale, at 1440p ultra settings, the 1080 ti Armor it comes with hits the thermal limit of 85C within 6 minutes. I tried setting fan speeds at 100% and thermal limit at 90 on MSI afterburner, and it took another minute to get to 90C. Once the card hits thermal limit, it becomes really unstable, and I get screen tearing, stuttering, and gsync stops working.
Anybody else with this PC with the 1080 ti config have this kind of problem or any tips?

Hi

I'd suggest you contact MSI and ask if you can replace thermal paste without voiding warranty; >>How to contact MSI.<<

Unfortunately clicking on the Get Support button under my registered product just brings me to an error page. I guess I’ll have to try calling customer support or something.

I see.
Yes, try calling them.
Alternatively ask the seller/shop if it's OK.
