Hi all!!!

I have an notebook model GP72-2QE and I want to ask if there are any compatible parts from other MSI notebooks which can fit to my model. I ask this because since my OEM fan died after 1 year of usage, I am still searching for a solution to replace/upgrade internal cooling system. So, today I found on ebay something that was looking interesting to me: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CPU-GPU-cooler-for-MSI-GP72-2QE-Serie/152723144666?hash=item238f023fda:g:Xn4AAOSwez5ZzvFs and I was thinking that maybe I can find something like this because even with old genuine cooler, my laptop was very hot after a while.

Internal of my laptop is looking like in following picture:

Anyone that have this laptop model or know any way how to upgrade the cooling system and to keep my laptop mobile, please help me.

Best regards!

Just purchase a replacement fan if you've found the exact model being offered.  If you can't find the exact model, it's hard for people to say a fan from another model will work.  You can also call MSI and ask who the distributor is and they may tell you or you can try asking one of the MSI vendors on Amazon if they can track down that particular fan for you since some of them do service (unless I'm mistaken).

sometimes you can find a replace fan in a repair center but only when there is one for you, good luck!

Ask for your repair center to get a new fan will be enough, you don't need a new cooling module.

Apologies for the lateness, but lucky for you that laptop shares a chassis/pcb shape with a dozen of other units. You have at least 2 really solid upgrade paths utilzing either a PE70 heatsink, or a GE72VR heatsink. You can get the PE70s for around $25-30.
