GE62MVR 7RG Apache Pro-041 RAM Upgrade
« on: 24-February-18, 12:46:48 »

Can anyone help me find compatible RAM for this laptop? It only has 1 stick and I want to upgrade it. The MSI website says it's DDR4 2400. If anyone could help me find a compatible 16GB stick for my laptop I would appreciate it. Preferably on Newegg.

LATEST ARCHITECTURE DDR4-2400 MEMORY SUPPORT

Get the best possible performance out of your notebook with support of the advanced DDR4-2400 memory, achieving over 32GB/s in reading speed and 36GB/s in writing. With over 40% faster performance than previous generations DDR3-1600, DDR4-2400 is the new laptop standard to take your extreme gaming experience to the next level.

How much memory do you want to have?  It has 2 slots, so if you want 32GB, buy 2 * 16 GB sticks of DDR4 RAM @ 2400MHz.
You can type your model into websites such as Kingston, Corsair and other memory manufacturers and they will give you all the suitable options.
Get the model number from Kingston or Corsair or any other memory manufacturer, then go to NewEgg and search for that.

YES.

Hello, is possible to upgrade this laptop with "2x8 GB, 2666 MHz, DDR4, CL15, SODIMM, 1.2V"?

I mean, upgrade with CL15 sodimm 2666 Mhz, or is only possible with CL14?

The MSI website says it's DDR4 2400.
a compatible 16GB stick for my laptop
Preferably on Newegg.
#1) Identify the RAM you have in your notebook: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
#2) Go to Newegg and purchase RAM.

A) The RAM will run at the slowest installed speed. Mixing 2133 and 2666, it will be 2133, same with the CL rating.
B) I wouldn't get too hung up on the speed ratings, 2133 or 2400, the true speed of RAM's reaction time  is measures in micro seconds.
The average human eye blink takes 350,000 microseconds (just over 1/3 of one second).
The difference in response time for CL16 2133 and CL16 2400 is only 1.67 MICRO SECONDS.
Your computer will never know the difference.
This is only for benchmark geeks.
