Restore MSI defaults
« on: 11-July-18, 00:45:56 »

Long Story short, the original hard drive in my laptop died. I swapped in a hard drive from an old laptop that I had laying around (Alienware). Now I am trying to restore the MSI drivers/features, as I obviously cannot switch out of the integrated graphics or anything. The laptop does work (I'm sending this on it) its just not perfect. What is the best way to go about doing this?

I don't have a back-up of my original hard drive, and I do not have the CD's that came with my laptop. Big mistake, I know. They appear to have gotten lost in one of the 3 moves we did since owning this.

If it matters its a GE62.

Also, I did a lot of searching on this. It appears a ton of people are having issue after updating to Windows 10. My laptop came with windows 10 installed, and I've never had an issue with it. when I press F3 on startup, I do not have the "restore MSI Default" option (assuming because the hard drive came from my Alienware). updating to W10 is not the issue here.
