MSI WS 60 Trackpad Degradation
« on: 05-March-17, 18:17:25 »

I've had my Workstation for about two years and in the first year i noticed that my trackpads finish started to wear off. It's now shiny where i use it most, and to make things worse it's almost like dragging your finger over wet glass, it sticks. I've tried cleaning it thinking it was oil build up, nope it's worn.

Has any one else experience this? Should i see if this would be covered under warrenty?

Hi,

Usually user can have at least one year warranty, so it would better to confirm your warranty period with local service center and then check if this Touchpad aged problem can be covered by warranty.

**UPDATE** So i sent the MSI in a month before the warranty was up and they replaced the track pad. The new one has a different finish, texture, material than the original and I've been using it for about a year with no issues!
