Hello, this is my first pc build and I decided to purchase a MSI B350 mortar MATX motherboard to go with my cpu. The cpu I purchased is a AMD RYZEN 5 2600. From my research I believe that the motherboard does support the cpu but only with a BIOS update and I will be updating the bios from a usb drive. My question is can I update the bios with the new cpu installed or do I have to get another cpu in order to update the bios? And if so, which cpu can I use? Thanks.

If the mainboard does not already come with a Ryzen 2000 compatible bios you need a supported cpu to flash the bios. Alternatively you can contact a pc-shop to flash it for you.
