MSI X470 Gaming M7 beta bios ?
« on: 17-October-18, 10:44:15 »

Hi, just wondering if any of you mods have a new beta bios for the MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC motherboard, I hoping, as ive seen Gigabyte and ASUS release one that allows you to separate nvme RAID from SATA devices, that MSI will also follow suit in the next bios release, where you can just have nvme RAID0 and have the rest of your sata devices in just normal sata mode rather than having to set them up as a separate RAID volume.

I have seen nor heard anything about a beta bios. We have not had one since April. I do not know if it is a new policy or not but there have been few beta bios releases for users here for quite a while.

AGESA 1.0.0.6 released for my X370 Gaming Pro Carbon. Installing now. But I do not see a new BIOS for our X470 Gaming M7 AC. AMD is actively releasing chipset updates for the X370, X470 and X399 boards. Will be updating that next.

That 1.0.0.6 on the X370 page will be summit-Pi, its been out for ages, the only update to bios I see for that board is to support Athlon 220 CPU's, that will just be a microcode update

The 1.0.0.6 we are all waiting for is pinnacle-Pi, will probably be named 1.0.0.6c

AMD uses the same version numbers for their AGESA updates, they just change the last letter based on Summit-Pi and Pinnacle-Pi etc etc so AGESA updates for the new Zen2 7nm CPU's will oncew again go back to 1.0.0.1d 1.0.0.2d etc.
