How do you register a new motherboard if you don't have a windows machine?

Can't you go to www.msi.com and click the Product Registration link?  It's also possible (but obviously not guaranteed) that the product registration application might work under Wine.

Why do you need Windows to register?
Registration is opening a browser, any browser will do, go to msi.com and click on the link to register.

Your OS is completely independent.  On purchasing my MSI GP72 6QE three years ago plus, I installed Linux, registered with MSI, got another three months warranty added to the two years and have enjoyed it since then.
