M.2 adapter does not install properly in windows
« on: 12-January-19, 05:07:22 »

Yesterday I've bought SSD M.2 PCIe G3x4 / Supports NVMe 1,3 from XPG (model SX8200 Pro) and since my motherboard does not have M.2 slot, I bought also I-TEC adapter that allows using M.2 hard disc via PCIe (
When both elements are connected (m.2 disk is at right place at the adapter, not SATA socket) to motherboard via PCIe I can see this SSD in bios (1st file attached) in boot settings but at PCIe there is still information about unknown vendor (img.2).
Problem starts with Windows where this PCIe device is shown as "other PCI device" and windows cant find any drivers online for, while i-tec at manual informs that this adapter will install automatically. It does not.

Now i have no clue, no idea where is the problem. This is my 1st time when i connect something via PCIe other then graphic card. :confused2:

Have you already tried to update from Windows Device Manager? If not, right-click on the "Unknown" entry and select "Update", then "Search on Internet...".
Hoping it shall help,
