Hi there!

Just finished new my new ryzen 2700x system build using the x470 gaming plus motherboard.  Build went well and all parts worked out of the box.  One quirk I have is the pc will not power off after windows shuts down.  Monitor turns off but even after 5+ minutes all LED's are on and I'm seeing intermittent drive activity (case has a hd activity light)  All driver and windows updates have been run.  I appreciate any ideas and my specs are below:

Ryzen 2700x
x470 gamin gplus mainboard
16gb corsair vengence 3000mhz ram dual channel
samsung 970 evo 500gb nvme boot drive
1tb western digital games ssd
4 tb spinning hd (toshiba 7200 rpm)
evga g3 supernova 750w PSU
evga geforce RTX2070
Fractal Define R6 case (not that it matters)

thanks again :)

Hello,
1/ Do a clear CMOS:
- Power off PSU, unplug the power cord and wait that all mobo's leds light off.
- Either
    . short JBAT1 during at least 20s
(if you have not a jumper cap, use something like a screwdriver but be cautious to touch only the 2 pins of JBAT1) or
. remove the battery cell during 30mn.
- Plug the power cord and power on.
- You would see a message.
Enter in bios setup, press <F6>, confirm,
set "SETTINGS \ Advanced \ Windows OS Configuration \ Windows 10 WHQL Support" = "Enabled",
press <F10>, confirm. The pc should reboot.
2/ If previous did not resolve, disable Windows 10 Fast Startup:
- Enter in "Control Panel \ Power Options".
- Click "Choose what the power buttons do", then "Change settings that are currently unavailables".
- Search for "Turn on fast startup (recommended)" entry.
. If you have it, uncheck.
  . If you have not,
    . enter in "Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options".
. set "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update or restart" at "Off".
- Restart then shutdown.
3/ If previous did not resolve, how do you shutdown pc?
Hoping it shall help,
:hat tip:
