X470 Gaming Pro Carbon Help please
« on: 12-January-19, 11:15:37 »

OK so I'm just building a new system with the X470 Gaming Pro Carbon and I've hit a major issue

I am initially bench testing everything but when i power on and hit delete to enter bios it loads up but the bios is blank, it shows the initial screen with MSI click Bios  but there are no values in any of the boxes CPU speed is blank DDR speed is blank and i cannot do anything apart from restart, I've attached a photo

Any ideas please

Thanks, Carl

Hello,
It is a known issue when using a TV as display. Connect a monitor, even basic, and bios setup shall be goodly displayed.
Hoping it shall help,

Thank you so much for that reply, I had it connected to my Panasonic TV while I was testing, had no idea that would cause the issue 👍

Just wanted to share this. My buddy and I bot bought our MSI x470 gaming pro carbon and this exact same issue happened to him. What we did when we connected the mobo to a monitor via display port. What we did is we connected it to a TV via HDMI and it solved the problem. So I think it may have something to do with different brands of monitor and tv and how they were made(configured).
