Sound lags after sleep
« on: 30-January-19, 07:11:52 »

I have a MSI Z370-A Pro. It worked nice out of the box, but when the sound drivers were updated in november the sound card seems to have problems waking up. It can take from five to 90 seconds before the sound  turns on. I have updated the latest driver, both from windows update and downloaded from MSI, and tried to roll back the old one. I tried to be very conscious about deleting old drivers. I have also updated bios, but the problem persist. This is quite irritating. I don't see why the sound card just turns on when the computer is awaked.

If somebody have an idea how this problem can be solved I will be very happy.

Sound driver version 6.0.1.8412
same with headphones
Win 10 version 1809 (os-build 17763.292)

I uinstalled the driver from app and functions and rebooted. The system grabbed automatically the driver with version number 8412. It's the driver from march. How do I get the latest driver?

Download the Realtek HD Universal Driver 6.0.1.8581 here.

If it's useless , back up storage and reinstall new win10.:pompom:

I installed the latest driver, and it works better now. When I play some music after awakend after sleep, It takes from 2 sec to five to her the sound. When I use the computer continually the sound comes imediately when I play some music or video.

After sleep I can se the light on the speakers are dimmed until the sound card is used. Is this normal, should'nt the sound card be waken up at the same time as the rest of the computer after sleep?
