Mystic light 3 and corsair fans
« on: 09-February-19, 18:19:44 »

Everything is working great with the new mystic light 3 software. Huge improvement of 2. Just wondering if there is a way to have static color options for the corsair hd120 fans connected through the jcorsair1 header. Am I missing something or does it not exist. If it doesn't exist, is it possible to implement this feature?

Mystic light 3 is awesome. I've said before here that it's a huge improvement of 2 but i'm having one small issue... In Mystic light 3 when syncing all components, my fifth fan is in rainbow mode while everything else is "steady" white. When switching to marquee my sixth fan goes to rainbow mode with two of the led's being the right color. I'm using corsair hd120 fans all connected to corsair's fan hub which is then connected to the jcorsair1 header on my msi z370 gaming pro motherboard. I thought at first it was a faulty fan so i switched fans in the hub. All fans in the fifth or sixth (depending on the mystic light preset i had) behaved the same. This lead me to believe the hub was faulty so i replaced it and the issue persists. I'm confident, as well as others on the corsair forums, that this is an issue with the mystic light 3 software. Can anyone help?

Hi,

Please tell us your current Mystic Light version and motherboard LED firmware version.
Providing a video of your problem or showing your mystic light settings and telling us all your RGB devices would be greatly appreciated.
Have you installed iCUE on your PC?

Check you motherboard LED firmware version by using the MSI Liveupdate

Attach your Mystic Light log file to this thread

Ok I'm working on getting the information you need. Is there anywhere I can download the MSI live update 6 software? Here on the MSI site it redirects me to a white page that just says "File not found."

Ok I think I've attached what you need. The second pic is my pc with the fifth fan doing it's thing going through rainbow mode while the rest are "steady" white as mystic light calls it. Looks like I just need to update? Thanks again!

Hi,

You should also try updating your motherboard LED firmware to the latest version (0A21).
Let us know if the problem still persist after the firmware update is done.
