GP72M 7REX Leopard-Pro - Problem with the screen
« on: 11-February-19, 03:42:20 »

I have a problem with the screen of a GP72M laptop. I get horizontal lines at the top of the screen. It starts happening a minute or so after I boot and over time it gets worse. I tried re-installing drivers but it didn't help. Any idea for what else I could try before sending it for repair?

just throwing out a few thoughts:

https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GP72M-7REX-Leopard-Pro

update bios and ec firmware
reinstall windows clean with latest drivers
see if loosing the bezel helps.
remove bezel and re-seat your screen connector

order a superior screen (120hz 3ms) and install it yourself using youtube assembly guides for a nice upgrade

I think you'd better update the BIOS.
It seems like a BIOS issue.
