I have a brand new MSI GF63-8RC Laptop with a dedicated Nvidia GTX 1050 GPU. I am trying to use an AR glasses called Meta2 with an accompanying Unity SDK, but the application keeps crashing. I noticed that the application that comes with Meta is not recognizing the GPU and is only using the integrated display on the mother board to render. I suspect it doesn't recognize the device ID on my GPU. I tried updating and downgrading the drivers, and I found that only Nvidia drivers from MSI driver download site will work, whereas the drivers downloaded from Nvidia website will prompt an error that says Couldn't find compatible hardware.

Here are the hardware IDs from my GTX 1050:
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C92&SUBSYS_123C1462&REV_A1
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C92&SUBSYS_123C1462
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C92&CC_030200
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C92&CC_0302

Driver version: 24.21.13.9921

Compatible IDs:
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C92&REV_A1
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C92
PCI\VEN_10DE&CC_030200
PCI\VEN_10DE&CC_0302
PCI\VEN_10DE
PCI\CC_030200
PCI\CC_0302

Is there any way I can use my GTX 1050 on this application without changing anything from the application? Is it possible to change the device ID to something that the application could potentially recognize? Or are there other ways to make the application work?

Thanks!

Open up nvidia control panel, there should be a way to add the app to the list which uses nvidia gpu. Not sure where exactly as I haven't had an optimus laptop for about 2 or 3 years now... But you should be able to find it somewhere.
