What fan has stopped? There is no such thing like stopping fan warning but an overheating protection. Does your cpu overheat?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes the CPU overheats to 97 degrees.
The CPU fan has stopped, and gives no fan error at startup.

What do you mean there is no such thing ?,
you mean specially for this motherboard ?
It is a modern motherboard from MSI so it should have this warning on startup.

Normally when booting there will be something like this :
CPU Fan error.
Press button to continue.

Then you can still turn the computer off so it wont start overheating.

Or do you mean such error dont exist in general ?, then you are wrong.

The odd thing is i mailed MSI about this, then they say to go here to the forum without any answer,
now i have these answers from someone who dont know about a fan error ?, very dissapointed in you MSI, i going to mail you again.

No, hardly any mainboard still has it as fans being stopped without load often is a wanted feature or water cooling is used where no cpu fan header is connected anyway. Unlike old mainboards a not spinning fan does not mean overheating. 97°C is also no temp that would cause a shutdown. It is very high and requires using a fan but can't cause damage.
