Anybody knows what is this 'Life Time Writes' entry on my SSD. It's almost 2 billion bytes. Thanks

that is the total number of writes the Drive has done over its entire life of the drive to it and is held in the drives chip and should count up over time as you use the drive and every single file even those of a OS or what you use on the drive count towards that number even if its only a 1byte file.

as for the amount of data that is is just around 2GB of data its recorded its had written to the drive.

I found 926,9GB a little bit high in 52 hours. I watch a lot of videos in Youtube, could be that?

Regards,

It's a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SATA III.

Unlike prevision Evo gens,
this one is using very reliable MLC
which you can stop worried about SSD life

for your model it has 600TBW (terabytes writes) guaranteed
you can simple forget bother with checking its health

I found 926,9GB a little bit high in 52 hours. I watch a lot of videos in Youtube, could be that? Regards,

It probably isn't started counting from 0 because some initial tests from factory fill some data
+ installing the OS (+apps/updates) on it at your side probably takes this initial jump of the writes
nothing to worry about.
