GPU/Radeon Wattman random crash (RX580 8GB)
« on: 13-May-19, 11:06:37 »

Hi, I've bought a new PC recently and I've installed an RX580, but I'm having trouble everytime I run games or some software with hardware acceleration enabled, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then does a random flicker, then it goes black again and I have to restart my pc to get the screen to work again (even sound is running in the background so the PC doesn't crash completely, but no image still).

Everytime I login on Windows (W10) I get a notification about this "Default Radeon WattMan settings has been restored due to unexpected system failure" and sometimes I can't even open Chrome because it will crash again (randomly). I've tried to get some old drivers and uninstalled the latest ones with DDU but it was still happening.

Last thing I've tried was working in CS:GO, 'til a new game was opened (Dishonored 2) and crashed, which was increasing the power limit on Wattman to +50%.

I'd like to know if I can get assistance on my country about this issue (Argentina), because I couldn't find anything on the website. Also, here are my specs if needed: https://valid.x86.fr/ylhvns. RAM and PSU working fine (both tested - RAM with memtest + mdsched.exe and PSU with a multimeter)

S/N: 602-V341-1250B1805001863
CHK: 8E4

Attached bios version if it helps also.

You are using the latest vbios already (TV341MH.6C0) so that is not the problem.

What psu do you have?

Hi, just tested again with a EVGA Supernova G3 (650w) and still happening, even in desktop more times (screen freeze, going to black and back again) with default Wattman settings.
