Pls hellp!!! MSI RADEON RX580 MINER 8G
« on: 02-June-19, 09:44:42 »

I bought two RX 580 Miner 8G cards and wanted to crossfire them but I can not make them work on my computer.

I do not know if it would be a problem with Bios or with drivers.

The RX580 loses the video signal and fans stop working when I'm starting up win10.
I tested two Msi rx580 video cards and both presented the same problem.

as I can not boot from the offboard I'm using the motherboard's onboard output ...

MSI Radeon RX580 Miner 8G

Desktop System
Operating System Windows 10 64bit
Driver version installed 26.20.11015.5009 (English)
Display Devices I-O Data EX-LD3151D 31.5 inches 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 55-76 Hz

1920x1080 @60Hz Active HDMI to DVI adapter

One line for each display device connected
MSI MS-7751 BIOS: V17.12 (type: UEFI)
CPU/APU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~4.2GHz

Power Supply Unit  Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid 850 watt 80 plus gold
OS Memory 4Gx4 Slots 16GB RAM

When I use the onboard output or the GTX 680 I have no problem but when I upgraded to RX580 the card stops working when I start win 10.

I did a reset on the SSD format and installed win 10 again, without using anything from gtx680, only with the Rx580 installed but the problem continues.

When I remove the drivers from AMD Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.5.2 the card works as a microsoft basic display adapter so this appears to be a problem with the driver,

I tried to update older driver but it also did not work.

RX580 Miner 8G are no graphics cards but specialized mining tools. You can't use them for crossfire or similar gaming use.

We can check for a vbios update but there is little hope. Add the current vbios saved to file and the S/N of each card.

Obviously yes, he even flashed a wrong vbios (TV341MH.653) that is not meant for this card to fake it an Armor gaming graphics card.

The latest original vbios for both cards is TV341MH.664 (attached).

For flashing use ATIWinflash in Windows. Should explain itself.

Note that you need to rename the vbios file to .rom for flashing after unpacking.

Hello, thank you for the original bios, I ended up selling the two cards without updating the original bios and the buyer was able to use the two Rx580 Miner without any problem ...

Before selling I installed bios TV341MH_664 but the same problem continued ...

After reading several articles on the net it seems that there are some problems of hardware incompatibility when using an old motherboard.

My pc
Operating System Windows 10 64bit
MSI MS-7751 Mpower Z77 BIOS: V17.12 (type: UEFI)
CPU / APU Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~ 4.2GHz
 MSI N680GTX Lightning 2gb
OS Memory 4Gx4 Slots 16gb RAM
SSD ADATA SP900 256GB (GTP)
Display Devices I-O Data EX-LD3151D 31.5 inches 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 55-76 Hz
Power Supply Unit Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid 850 watt 80 plus gold

It is possible to use some MSI RX570 / 580/590 card in this PC I did not want to spend much and AMD cards are low prices, I intended to do a crossfire, which model should I buy?

do a search for the 580 problems..
580's are having allot of problems..  not sure about the other versions.

There are to many changes happening at the same time, and its causing problems.

MSI MS-7751 Mpower Z77 BIOS: V17.12 (type: UEFI)

There is zero problem with a Z77 board. The issue is limited to Intel 6 series boards without an ME8 bios. It is also not Radeon specific but the same with current Geforce cards.

Again the RADEON RX580 MINER 8G is no RX580 gaming graphics card.
