Hello and thank you for opening this post as it means that you are trying to help.

I'm having a small issue. I just replaced my MSI GTX 960 2G (which had a DVI-D output) with a MSI RTX 2060 (which does not have a DVI-D output).
My monitor, a 144Hz supported BENQ Zowie XL2411 1920x1080, has a HDMI, DVI-D and VGA input.

Before replacing my graphics card I was running it with a DVI-D to DVI-D cable @ 144Hz. Obviously, this is no longer possible.
Currently, I'm running it with a DisplayPort to DVI-D cable. Sadly, I cannot select 144Hz now because it is not supported by the cable.

After doing some research I found out that I need something called an 'active' cable or adapter. So I went to investigate.
I work in IT and we regularly use products from a company called 'StarTech'. I found the following product:

This is an active adapter as it says in the title and the description looks promising. It's active and it supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 so it should be able to handle 1920x1080.
My only question is, before I go out and buy one, if anyone can confirm if this'll work or not?

Let me know!

Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,

to be able to run a DVI-D monitor 1920x1080 at 144Hz you need a DP to Dual link DVI-D 2560 x 1600 active adapter which are way more expensive and the one from startech is this one and would be capable of doing what you want but is alot more expensive. the one you have looked at would do at best 60 to 75Hz
