MEG X399
« on: 29-June-19, 06:02:46 »

Dear all,

my current system constists of MEG X399, 1920X, 1200Watt Corsair PSU, F4-3200C16Q-32GTZRX RAM. The issue is that when I turn off my PC and try to turn it on after one day my PC starts but no signal in my screen. I have to push the BIOS default button and after some tries starts again. My BIOS is the v13. Before this I did not had any issues. DO I have top check anything inside my BIOS. I have XMP profile 2 (3200) as before the update of the bios.

It is such a pitty such an expensive motherboard to have this kind of problems. I think that for me this was the last time that I have bought MSI (as my clients).

Please propose me a solution.

Hello,
Perhaps it is not related to bios but Windows : 1903 release is recent...
Do a clear CMOS. When asked, enter in bios setup and set back all changes previously done. Set also 'Windows 10 support' at 'UEFI' (or enable it).
If problem remains, verify that Windows Fast Startup is disabled.
What bios values have you changed from defaults ?
Have a good day,

appollon1813,  I suggest you do the Clear CMOS as described in your User Manual and do not reset your memory XMP (leave default).  Please tell us what video card you are using and what slot it is plugged into.  Have you updated to the latest video drivers?  Have you updated to the latest AMD Chip Set drivers, DLed here?  What is the Hex display on the MB showing?  I am running 1903 on my system (MEG Creation, see below) with no problem.  Are you running W10 1903?  Good luck and enjoy, John.

My Graphics card is 7950. I have the 1903windows and when I enable windows 10 support my system does not being turned on. It is plugged into first slot. I have tried to install the latest chipset drivers but windows do not leave me to do it.

appollon1813, I do not understand.  Is your boot disk style GPT, if not that could be the boot problem.  I am assuming that by Windows mode, you mean setting the BIOS to W10 WHQL mode.  Then the boot device MUST be GPT.  How does Windows not let you install the chip set drivers? - Error message?  Thanks and enjoy, John.

Hi there, I had the same problem with my MoBo. After endlessly searching I found the solution(s)
meg x399 Creation
Threadripper 1920X
psu 750 Watt
corsair 2x 8gb 3000mhz (xmp 2)

First :
- clear CMOS, (cmos button on the back panel above first 2 USB ports. You´ll see 2 tiny square buttons).
Then TURN OFF the next settings in Bios (switch in bios first to Advanced Mode, you´ll see more settings)
- IOMMU - this function is standard enabled, gives everyone trouble. A shame for such mega MoBo!!! It should be disabled by default !!!
DISABLE IOMMU right now!!!
- HPET - Disable it - intel´s HPET table doesn't work on RYZEN & THReadrippers. Let these processors manage their own build-in HPET instructions. Now they work like magic!!
- C-STATE - Turn OFF - DISABLED ( especially if you overklock )
- XMP - turn it on - set to XMP 2

1 thing I couldn´t fix was: RYZEN MASTER, the temperatures aren´t shown correctly. If my bios read 40 degrees, RYZEN MASTER  shows 67 degrees. An offset of 27 degrees.
Don´t do this MSI !! Show us the right information please! Specially on this board! Why the offset values instead of the exact values? Fix this please.
Or show in Ryzen Master a text for Threadrippers that the temperatures shown are 27 degrees higher.

Good luck, your system will run like magic now.

Let us know that this solved your problem please.

The last three days I do not have the aforementioned issue. SO far so good. Just a question....regarding the C-STATE could I enable it again( i do not overclocking my CPU). Another question. with 1903 win10x64 I cannot install AMDchipset drivers and the CPU app. Any suggestions?

Same issue again....MSI find a solution. It is unacceptable for such an expensive motherboard. Find me a solution. Release a new BIOS.
