B350 pc mate
« on: 14-July-19, 13:28:37 »

Hello all.

I've buy a B350 Pc Mate Motherboard with a Ryzen 1600.

My problem is that I buy some ram 3200Mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX C16 2x8 but the pc turns on but do not boot i just send back this ram if i take the 2400Mhz C16 2x8 will it work or not??

It's my first build so the MB have not MAJ this why i ask this question i see a bunch of guys on youtube have 3200Mhz RAM and boot at the fisrt try so...

The Ryzen 5 1600 have a speed limit to 2667Mhz my motherboard says the speed limit it's 2400Mhz or higther with the OC.

When i buy my RAM i thought it was good because on the MSI support this RAM is compatible so but when i tried on my pc it turns on but not boot the EZDEBUG LED stay on the Boot so i hope anyone here know if i buy the 2400Mhz RAM will be good for this combo.

My config is;

CPU; Ryzen 1600
MB. B350 Pc Mate
PSU; Seasonic 550w focus +
GPU; RX  580 Sapphire pulse

Thank you. =)

PS; Sorry for not putting it in the right category. =)

best pickup some that are in QVL for your board and for your CPU from:

Thank you for your answer.

I did that first but he didn't boot.

So i'll take some RAM at 2400Mhz (CMK16GX4M2A2400C16) and see what happen

This RAM are on the qvl and it's optimized for ryzen 1* generation. so... Wait and see. =)

The only thing that i can tell it's he pissed me off now i buy a good pc but nothing work why.
So when i turn on the pc, on my fractal design focus g white the led of the storage stay on until the motherboard checks the gpu then the light goes out.

take out the mainboard out of PC case
and try to boot with barabone setup with board placed over wooden table or cardbox
then try to boot

make sure to connect all power cables correctly

The EZ-DEBUG shows BOOT.

I do that too and i've nothing bented or something else.

I'll buy a another motherboard next week and see what hapens and if it's my b350 pc mate the problem i'll send back for the warranty.

But i don't understand why!! All my component are new just the motherboard i bought it the last year.

On PC Part Picker a guy says i've a bad luck on this motherboard and i think it's true. =(

this means to me a successfully post
but unable to boot OS.

if you don't see any screen:
can you check the monitor cable?
and where is connected and how exactly?
display output too? [make sure correct output is selected from monitor/TV]

also can you try a different card?
[sapphire sometimes are picky,  +  i suspect the output port of the card can make some issue]
or try a different port instead, like DVI

I don't have any friends at the moment all my friends are in vacation. :)

In my country i don't have any re-seller i live in a small village now.

Edit; I've two choice buy a new MB and see what happens or waiting a long long time. :)

When you live in a small village it's hard to have any re-seller or friends with a pc it's the problem. It's very simple you do not have several possibilities either you buy again or you wait hoping that you find something that could help you to check your problems.

It's just a cable it is not very expensive, around $10-$15.
But does your have a DVI input?
Another option is a HDMI female to DVI male adapter, which are even cheaper but not often reliable.

This motherboard has diodes that light up and inform which component is something wrong. Check in the user's manual what they mean. Maybe it will help.
