B450 A Pro Motherboard BIOS button
« on: 19-July-19, 21:08:25 »

Hello. I'm trying to use the bios flashback to update the bios to make it compatible with Ryzen 3200G. However, when I try to do the button, nothing happens (not even an LED). I plugged everything in correctly and the PSU is on but I can't do it. I flashed a USB drive (64 GB) to FAT32 and used the correct BIOS. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Did you rename the BIOS file to  MSI.ROM?
Not sure about the flash drive size, have you a smaller one?

I used a 16GB drive and it seems to be working.

I updated the BIOS but the computer still doesn't boot up unless I do the BIOS flashback. What am I doing wrong?

Can't understand what you are saying.
Does it boot or does it not?

You mean the only thing that does work is flashing the BIOS with the flash BIOS button?

I found why it doesn't boot on. It now does but there's no picture and my peripherals such as keyboard don't work

It turns out I accidentally put the power and reset cable in the wrong place. I powered on but no picture and my accessories wouldn't work. So I reset the BIOS using the jumper and now the board won't respond at all. Do you think I may have gotten a dud?

I think you need to fill your forum signature with your hardware specs.

You removed the jumper I hope, PSU is on?

Personally  I test new build outside the case first, on a table/cardboard.

I suggest to bench test it outside the case, on table and/or cardboard, but don't put it on the anti-static bag.
Use jus one memory module. Is the buzzer connected?
