Memory Error 128GB DRAM - MEG Z390 ACE
« on: 20-July-19, 22:52:03 »

I have an i9 9900k with the Meg z390 Ace

all is working great - I upgraded the bios to the latest 7B12v15 so I can support new ram.

I am getting error 55 and it won't boot.

I can swap back to my original 32 GB (4x8) and all works & boots no prob.

The ram I have is:
4x32GB Crucial RAM Memory DDR4 2666mhz (CT32G4RFD4266)

EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 1300W 80 Plus Gold

GTX 1080

Any suggestions?

THanks
Mike

Well you are mixing memory. These are separately bought 32GB modules and no kit. Using an extreme high capacity setup with mixed memory is like asking for trouble. That won't work.

Return this ram and buy a matched 128GB kit.

Mission impossible.

On the board compatibility list there is only one 32GB module qualified for 4 slots, and it's not a kit.

Would an individual memory piece not work? I'm just trying with one and that wont work.

It should, try one in slot DIMMA2, if it works add another one in slot DIMMB2, if not try another stick.
Do the same with the other 2 sticks.
Mark your sticks so you can keep track of what you have tested.
