Hey,

I bought this Board together with a Ryzen 3700X.

Everything runs smooth except I cannot disable HotPlug for my 5th & 6th SATA Slot. Slot 1-4 are fine and can be disabled in BIOS. (latest BIOS version installed of course)
This leads to the problem, that these 2 drives show as unpluggable drives in Win10 and loose performance (i.e. WinRAR takes way longer etc.)

Anyone having the same problem or can provide a solution?

Thx in advance

Hi,

Support for SATA 5 & 6 HotPlug is probably not available at the moment.
Suggest that you contact MSI .

Hi,

I'm having this issue as well on X570 Gaming Plus on SATA 1/2 instead.
While having both of my 2TB HDD plugged into SATA 1 and 2, Windows 10 is seeing both of this drive as removable.
BIOS option only has Hot Plug disabled on default for SATA 3-6.

The solution I use is to modify the Windows registry to recognize the sata port as internal instead of whats reported by BIOS:
https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/109574-internal-sata-drives-show-up-removeable-media.html

Create a Multi String registry key TreatAsInternalPort in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\storahci\Parameters\Device with values of the SATA internal bus number.
For your case on port SATA 5/6, it should be value 4 and 5. For my case, I use 0 and 1.

Reboot after the registry change.

Hope this helps.
