What IDE drive for A68HM-E33 V2?
« on: 12-August-19, 10:50:15 »

Windows 10 auto loads a generic driver from 2006.  I'm installing new SSDs on 5 of these and getting instability issues.  I updated the chipset, BIOS, and Audio.

I see a Bolton RAID driver, but this is not really a RAID.

Any help would be appreciated.

There are no drivers from 2006 in windows 10. IMO the storage division either don't bother changing driver date, or it is a policy to have the date unchanged, but the oldest microsoft driver I see in windows32\drivers has time stamp May-18-2017.

Granted, there was no NVMe driver at 2006

My text didn't show up with my post of the pics. I'll try again.

I'm doing 5 updates to new SSDs on the same HW.  From 6 year old Kingston SSDs to Crucial MX500s.  We updated the mainboards in 2016 to the A68HM-E33 V2 with A6 processors.  They are quite and super power efficient.

2 went fine.  1 was weird, but better after all available windows updates and deleting some unused stuff.

The 4th is occasionally crashing.  I'll check the drivers. I can't get windows 1903 to load, so its still 1803.

I feel better these driver are newer than I thought.

So it's 4 same boards and hardware, and just one is crashing?

Yes.

I have not done the 5th.

This is pretty basic, one SSD for another.  Stable to not stable.

I'm going to check BIOS setting too.
