Upgrade of Storage to my MSI
« on: 12-October-19, 05:53:41 »

I am currently using only HDD in my MSI. I plan to extend the storage with already available Samsung EVO 860 msata SSD. But my MSI supports only  NVMe PCIe gen3. Is there any adapter available in market to attach my msata to NVMe port.Or any other option available

You're in luck because mSATA is SATA, so pci express is going to be irrelevant. Google "msata to sata adapter". It will make it into the same shape as a 2.5in hdd/ssd. :) I've used them personally they work fine.

I assumed you had a desktop because you didn't say you had a laptop! Let me know what laptop model you have. If it supports m.2 sata as well as m.2 nvme you can use an adapter to go from m.2 sata to msata. If your laptop only supports m.2 nvme and NOT m.2 sata, you will have to do what I'm saying and replace your hard drive with it. Hard drives suck anyway, you are better off without it especially in a laptop.

I'm also seeking information re: upgrading my SSD from 128MB to 1 TB.  I'm looking at the Intel 1TB SSDs.  Does anyone know what Intel SSDs are compatible with the GS63VR 6RF Stealth Pro?

Thanks in advance.
