z390 MEG ACE
« on: 02-November-19, 19:54:51 »

I'm having the hardest time finding a solid OC that won't cause my PC to flip off then back on, and over and over again. I have a i9 9900k, z390 meg ace mobo, msi rtx 2080 gaming trio x gpu, ax1200i psu, 3200/64gb corsair ram, H115i cooler, m.2 drives etc. My temps are between 39-44C which isnt bad at all, but after a few games it just shuts off, then comes back on then right back off again. My psu tested fine no issues there. gpu isn't over clocked all at factory settings. Would it be that I used the thermal paste that came with my cooler or would it be a power setting? Funny thing is that I don't know much about OC I watch the msi youtube that had the same mobo and processor that I have and used the same setting that was used in the video. If anyone can give me a break down of what I should do that would be great....thanks

Does this happen also when it is not overclocked?

No, Only when I OC it. Today is reset it all back to default and of course it runs fine. I bought the 9900k to OC and as some might say I might not be able to OC this chip, some you can some you can't are the answers that I keep getting. 39c to 44c is what MSI dragon center reads when I OC to 5.0ghz.

When there is no load, but what if you run some load on it, like games or stress tests?
