Need Help overclocking DDR4
« on: 05-December-19, 15:13:21 »

Hi All,

Bought a MSI MEG Z390 GODLIKE LGA1151
Have Intel Core i9-9900K Desktop Processor 8 Cores up to 5.0 GHz
I have installed Four DDR4 Corsair CMK16GX4M2K4400C19 Vengeance LPX
Each of four slot hold 8GB ram
My issue is XMP profile not working To overclock RAM

It is very disappointing to have such issue when you spent alot of money for such an expensive mobo

Any help will be appreciated

I have latest mobo firmware
Had clear cmos etc
Nothing worked

with such high frequency, it's not ideal to purchase 2 separate 2 memory kit/pack (even same model) and try to put it together.
always go for 4 memory kit/pack if you wanna use 4 memory at the same time.
can you test with only 2 memory and see if it works?

Forget about 4400 with all slots populated.

Start with 2 stucks in slots a1 and b1 (not the optimal configuration, it is intended), try xmp, if it does not work, start lowring the frequncy manually (with xmp enabled) see what is the maximum you can get.

Are both kits the same ver.?
