Screen freezes at startup with MSI Logo
« on: 12-December-19, 15:15:50 »

Have installed an MSI MPG z390 Gaming Pro Carbon MOBO with Intel I59600k processor. Have a DVD drive, HDD and SSD all reformatted. Video card is MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G. Other items include an ML240L Masterliquid cooler and Corsair 750W PSU. On power-up if nothing is done, the video screen shows an MSI logo and a spinning dot circle which freezes in a couple seconds. Can reboot and by pressing the DEL key can access the BIOS. Nothing unusual is displayed there. Reconfigured the DVD as the default boot drive and installed a windows 10 OS disk and restarted machine......window emblem appeared and stopped....after a minute or so, a blue screen appeared saying that a machine error prevented window from proceeding......end of story! Can anyone tell me the solution for this problem????

Hi

Try without graphics card installed.
Also what exactly are the drives you are using?

Errors are red, My screen is blue .I think I deleted, System32.

Can't leave graphics card out....there is no on board vga. I took the mobo out and set it on an isolated pad....connected atx Power and CPU power 1 & 2...power on switch, one DVD drive with win 10.... still freezes....got an RMA and sent it back to MSI....happy holidays!

Did you try without DVD drive connected? I've heard of sometimes issue being between optical drive and SATA controller.
