Dragon Center and Trident Z RGB
« on: 14-December-19, 05:20:18 »

Hey Community,

I was build a new config yesterday and i have a frustrating problem.
The Dragon Center (Mystic Light) does not recognize the memory moduls (G.Skill Trident Z RGB) but as I read this type of memories are compatibles with MSI Mystic Light.
I tried everything what I find at here and other sites but nothing changed.

Any idea?

Thanks for the help!

What mainboard and what exact RAM do you have? -> >>Posting Guide<<

Also what version of Dragon Center are you using?

Hey,

Sorry for the few information.
MOBO: MPG Z390M Gaming Edge AC with the last (not BETA) BIOS E7B50IMS. 160
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB
Dragon Center: 1.0.0.63
Mystic Light: 1.0.0.31

This is a new config, before this i have an Asus MOBO, I use Asus Aura but I did not reinstall the OS after MOBO change just uninstall all of Asus programs. Can this be the problem?

If you are using Aura that can indeed be a problem

Maybe yes.
I think I need to reinstall a new clean windows, right? And if nothing change I will wright again here.

Is it true? I found it on G.Skill forum:
2. MSI Mystic Light
- Must have Trident Z RGB Control software installed for the "LightingService" to run in the background, but does not need the Trident Z RGB software to be opened. (If Trident Z RGB software is not installed, then Mystic Light would only be able to set lighting effects to one module.)
- MSI X299 motherboards have Trident Z RGB recognition issues. Until this is resolved by MSI, please use the G.SKILL Trident Z RGB lighting control software to control memory RGB lighting.

Thank you.

You can try with the GSkill software first. i guess a fresh install might be the way to go though.
