Hi -

We're building a brand-new new system with an X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi + Ryzen 3900X.

We tried to power up the system, and nothing happens - the PSU fan doesn't even spin.

The EVGA 750W PSU is also brand-new, and verified to work on another system we had sitting around.

Is a separate GPU required to be installed? We were connected to the HDMI port on the connector panel. Is there a problem with running a Ryzen 3900X on the X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi? I saw a few comments on Amazon that the 3900X doesn't play well with this motherboard.

Thanks,

AzJazz

Yes a discrete gpu is required, the 3900x does not have integrated graphics, but the board will power on without it and will be stuck when it looks for video (vga ez debug led will be lit)

There is absolutely no sign of life from the motherboard when you switch it on?
Try to just short the power ping with a screw driver.

Hi, Chike - That's an excellent suggestion! We will try it out and post the results later today.

Bummer - we tried shorting the power pins on the motherboard, but it didn't work. The PSU fan blades didn't even budge.

I guess we have to send it back as DOA.

I just hope that the motherboard is capable of supporting the 105W TDP of the 3900X.
