P75 Creator poor fan control at idle?
« on: 18-March-20, 02:13:20 »

Got my P75 yesterday and all is great apart from very bad fan control at idle/low cpu. Fans tends to spin up erratically when browsing the web or just updating windows.

Is this just my laptop or have other people had similar issues? - haven't even played and games or run anything remotely demanding yet.

Creator center hasn't helped sort the fans out so I'm going to try Dragon center and see if that will let me set a reasonable fan curve.

Tried the dragon fan control... better but...

At the lowest speed the fans will go down to 2500 rpm they are still annoying (combo of the loudness and there sound profile) and they do not cool very well at this speed.

I used Dragon to turn the fans down off below 50-60c so they do not come on when browsing the web, idle/low temp is around 49c for me (I under volted by -0.100mV as well)

I'm a developer and I would not buy this laptop for content creation i.e its use case, its fans are designed to keep load temps down really well but it sucks for light or sporadically heavy use.
