Hi, so I got the MSI Prestige 15 4k 16gb recently.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the laptop. But there's just one small thing that bugs me.
Why can't I use the dGpu for rendering everything? Like the desktop or ms excel?

The issue is not very major and there's a very small effect. Like sometimes maximizing minimized windows can cause the contents of the window to take a second to load, scrolling on an Excel sheet, the cell values can take a few seconds to load.
Gaming works well, no issues there..

I searched the forum got a thread regarding this, but that was for a different P model and was from 2016

Is there anyway to accomplish this?
I already tried the nVidia control panel thing.. It doesn't do it for me.

Thanks in advance

Hi!

Looks like we have the same question.
See: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=340062.0

I have started a ticket with MSI to see if they can answer directly.

Thanks mate...

Read through the entire thing, basically we're screwed. :(

I'm coming from an ASUS ROG, so this micro stuttering was astounding for me when i first encountered it.
Then I realized that the reason behind it was the switching.

Here's to hoping that there would be a solution in the future.. :/
