« on: 28-July-05, 00:30:23 »

Hello , Here is my problem , I get to (boot from CD....) then I get
(NVIDIA Boot Agent 201.0440
 copyright(C)2001-2004 NVIDIA Corporation
 copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel corporation
 PXE-E61:Media Test Failure check cable
 Pxe-MOF:Exiting NVIDIA Boot Agent
Disk boot failure , insert system disk and press enter)

I have had this system going for about 4 months now and have had no problems , then I started getting a blue screen and self rebot.
 Any ideas?

K7N2 delta2
AMD 3000+
Antec true 430W
Corsair pc2700 1G
Radeon 9600SE

this means that the mobo is attempting to boot from the LAN, and is failing because a network cable is disconnected

check your boot order in BIOS hasn't been changed by mistake (make sure HDD is first). check all connections to HDD. is HDD recognised in BIOS?

You beat me to it yet again: Boot order's the word.

Please, as suggested, also check that the jumpering on the hard disk(s) correspond with the placing.

A similar problem can sometimes occur if the Windows installation was not completed successfully. Not that it is that, but thought I'd mention it.

Ok , I was trying to format another hard drive and got the same thing , then read the posts , I changed  the boot order and also disabled (MAC LAN (nVidia) )and got BOOT FAILURE exc... and saw that I neded to set to master so I did. I got it to bot and enter windows with new hard drive .(windos 2000 pro)  I tried to make first hard drive a slave but it would not get pased the first set of info, Esc to enter bios part so removed it .

thank you for the help , now my wife gets to reinstall EVERY THING. (giggles)
