Installed 2 version of Bluetooth driver
« on: 23-September-05, 05:30:12 »

Hi all:

I had installed 2 version of bluetooth driver from this page:
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_list.php?part=8&kind=23&CHIP=23&ID=8

At first is the Microsoft verion, then i found it was not user friendly, then i try to remove it, but failed. Then i install another verion which is Version: 1.3.1 from the same page also. Now, i cannot use for the Version: 1.3.1 also, the bluetooth always connected to the Microsoft version driver.

As you can see at the system tray, the Bluetooth icon that turn RED is Version 1.3.1, and the another one is Microsoft version, whcih i wish to remove it.

Could anyone please teach me to remove the Microsoft version bluetooth driver? Thanks

go to device manager, under Bluetooth Radios, right-click the Generic Microsoft device, and choose UpdateDriver...

choose to install a driver manually, and then click on Have Disk. point to where you have downloaded and extracted the MSI drivers, and select the correct driver. fingers crossed that should work, cos i had to do something similar with my brother's bluetooth USB adaptor

Good day, what a good hint. Finally i saw the Bluetooth radio button already and successfully installed the MSI driver again. Hahh.......

1)Fisrt i connected my bluetooth, then i saw the Bluetooth radio button in device manager.
2)Then i try to uninstall the Microsfot version bluetooth driver, it successfully uninstalled. But it will appear again once u re-plug in your bluetooth(bt) device. So, i just disabled it. Then it will have a X on the icon, mean the bt device not gonna connect with this friver.
3)Another verion which is MSI proviced driver, i update the driver. And point it to the driver that i want(MSI driver) then update.
4)Done.

Hehhehe....really good hint, thanks a lot. Really from the bottom of my heart. Thanks a lot.  :agrees:

Hope this will help others also.
