Purpose of the MSI Wind U90/U100/U100+ Notebook Patch:

* Force OFF  CPU's Hyper-Threading Technology
* Patch NVRAM to modify Turbo function to be engaged by default, and apply @24% OC  [E.g get ready to be activated with Fn+LCTRL or Fn+F10]
* Fixed issue Bluetooth cannot be turned ON in DOS
* Fixed issue SMBIOS Type 2 data incorrect.
* Add ==>  Assign new function for the secondary MS$ special Windows button .
* Split ==>  Fn+F11 Enable/Disable WLAN only.
* Split ==>  CTRL+Fn+F11 Enable/Disable Bluetooth only.
* Add ==>  Fn+ LCTRL ==> Enable/Disable ECO/Turbo Modes {Secondary way more comfortable}
* Add ==>  Fn+ LWin ==> Enable/Disable WebCam {Secondary way more comfortable}
* Add ==>  Fn+ Space ==> Mute On/Off {Secondary way more comfortable}
* Add ==>  Fn+ C ==> Launch Calculator
* Add ==>  Fn+ "Menu Button"[right Windows key] ==> Launch default E-mail client{Outlook, Thunderbird etc.} and without Fn:
Launch IE/Firefox{or redirect to home page if browser is already open and active else launch another copy}
* Apply custom logo screen.
* Fixed issue FAN always run at least at 45% RPM in Turbo Mode, without the matter how low is the CPU temp.
/* The FAN is adjusted depend of CPU Temp and NOT because the Turbo mode is used,
so when the CPU is running at low temp {normally in idle}, the same temp as Normal Mode,
the FAN will turn off like its works in Normal Mode. */
* Optimizing FAN Performance when notebook is working in Turbo Mode.
{
  - Add-ed custom trigger Level 0 at 20% FAN RPM, CPU FAN will stay off until CPU reach 40C temp.{Real temp}
  - Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN Temp table trigger level 0, from 52 to 20.[C]
  - Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN RPM table trigger level 0, from 45 to 0.[RPM,%]
  - Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN Temp table trigger level 1, from 58 to 50.[C]
  - Modify Turbo profile for CPU FAN RPM table trigger level 1, from 45 to 50.[RPM,%]
}
* Fixed issue when AC Main Power is plugged, Brightness automatically goes to 100%
{
- Modify stage 9 of Brightness control, adjusted from 200 to 80.
- Arrange Brightness control stage 9 to match with stage 5
[50%, which is actually 40% of monitor brightness because they are not adjusted with proportional increment],
So when AC Main is plugged it will not make difference for mode 1[Normal Mode] when its running at battery{where stage 5 is default}
or AC Main Power.
If ECO Mode is used and AC Main is plugged it will increase with one brightness level only.
{Not bump to the max like its happen in official BIOS}
- Modify stage 8 of Brightness control, adjusted from 184 to 195.
}
* Fixed keyboard resource conflict.
{
- NumLock will not longer cause permanent Blue keys printing characters and render keyboard useless for regular tasks.
- Blue sign now are formed only by pressing 'Fn+ desired blue key". [NumLock must be On 1st]
- Fixed keys["7","8","9","0","U","I","O","P","J","K","L",";","M",".","/"] their blue values and NumLock function
}
--
Apppy for Normal and Turbo Modes:
*
  • [20] - [50] - [58] - [64] - [70] -- [2x76] - [93]

*
  • -OFF - [24] - [33] - [45] - [65] -[3x100]

* Build and add new feature, "Svet's HT Feature" [To manipulate Intel's HT, On/Off]
* Build and add new feature "Svet's Auto PowerUp", [Allow MSI Wind to auto power on at specified day and time[dd/hh/mm/ss]]
* Apply custom logo screen
* Fixed issue GPU-Z can't detect VBIOS version
* Update Atom microcode revision from V212[06.10.2008] to V218[10.04.2009]{Svet's Prefix version, 8FB7C1BAh, flag 4h}
* Other minor changes
* Patch BIOS to allow Turbo Mode usage when the notebook is running on battery only
* Patch BIOS to support modes combination
* Patch BIOS to split and support custom activation
* Patch BIOS to support custom Power LED's lights.  :agrees: [Blue, Orange, Yellow, Green, White, Purple:pompom: :pompom:
* Patch BIOS to able to use the custom lights with and without Turbo, with and without AC power cord

Do these bioses have adjustments in the bios for what we want them to do?

For example, lets say I want it to start up overclocked by default, all the time, if on battery or wall power...

But later I decide no, I want it to start underclocked on battery, and overclocked on power...

Also, I want a regular logo, can i change this to reguar logo in the bios?

Anyhow, how much should i donate? Is there a suggested amount?

I would like a custom bios.

More questions:

Why turn off cpu hyperthreading? does this increase performance somehow? Is there a toggle in the bios that lets us switch it back on if we want?

for some of them yes

turbo is off by default, you have to press corespond keys to activate it, either on battery or wall power

nope, the custom logo is similar to original one but much better.
however if you don't like it another bios can be done with original logo version instead

It's down to your possiblities

Is it possible to have it on by default? Someone said you made a bios that did this.

Nope, but you can activate it pretty quickly for less than one sec. with one hand only and 2 fingers,
with super handy combination by pressing fn+left ctrl
[when you include shift will be albe to change power led color too]

Is there a way to ALWAYS boot in TURBO mode by default ?

Say, hit FN-F10 if I decide to turn it off, rather than activating it.

EDIT: It would be also nice to have the GPU Core Clock boosted to 400 Mhz by default without using Svet's MSI Wind GMA Patch Tool . Is this possible by bios modding?

I'm testing this BIOS, so far so good, but the left Fn and Ctrl keys are swapped  :rolleyes_anim:

Is this normal? Can I change this behavior? It's confusing.

Yes for this version, its the matter of taste. [Most ppl. prefer them with those keys swapped]

Nope you can't, but i've just sent you secondary version based on this one which is the same modded one like this,
but with standard Fn and Ctrl keys positions

Thank you. Re-flashed. Much more intuitive for me this way.  :biggthumbsup:

So far, the only problem I have found with this second version is that I can't enable the webcam.

Webcam working after second reboot.

If official 1.0G works fine for you, then the custom one will works also fine.

Don't forget to do a EC reset after the update:
