New computer keeps rebooting randomly
« on: 12-December-19, 16:28:54 »

Hi all,

I just got a new computer and it keeps rebooting randomly. Can't pinpoint what makes it crash, sometimes it goes for hours with heavy workload, sometimes just after startup. I've used both the Intel  XTU and manual Bios settings posted here by Krank (thanks, very helpful cause I'm a complete noob when it comes to OC) but I can't figure it out. Could you post some settings for my setup or help me pinpoint the issue? At this point I would be even happy to have some safe non-OC default settings to keep it up

Monitor them with HWiNFO (sensors) or HWMonitor

Thanks for the reply. Max VID under HeavyLoad is 1.325V.

HeavyLoad didn't cause any issues, but I had both Prime95 and MemTest64 causing crashes so I think there might be an issue with the RAM

Yes I know heavy load does not cause issues, but we need to know what may be needed.
I forgot to ask, what is actuall vcore also.
Set cpu core voltage to 1.325v and see if it helps.
You can try lowering it until monitored vcore is the same as max vcore you had on auto.

Max VCORE is 1.320V

MemTest64 passed and so did MemTest86+ passed. No crashes...

Thanks for helping!

Start with 1.32v cpu core voltage then. see how this goes.
Another option that works for some is adaptive + offset +0.025v

It seems like your settings have worked, I haven't had a single crash since. I still don't understand what the issue was. The power was too low?

They're anyway, you helped me very much!

:welcome:
I don't know if it's simply low voltage, it may be more complicated than that
