    • 1. Follow the steps above to uninstall MSI Center and MSI Center SDK.
    • 2. Search for MSI Dragon Center/MSI Creator Center in Microsoft Store to install Dragon Center/Creator Center.

  • This is what you get for not liking MSI Center, but you can fix it by opening command prompt and type “reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MSI” and enter “yes” after.
    Note.
Make sure no MSI Center registry key left in the specific path

Known Issue: MSI Center v1.0.19.0 User Scenario Only Has 2 Mode When Using MSI Graphics Card Only (with other vendor motherboard) (2021/05/07)
1620384329274.png

Missing Extreme Performance and Silent user scenario mode
Solution: MSI Center v1.0.20.0 (Not yet released)

eventviewer has shown the service MSI_Central_Service isnt running after MSI Center complained about it couldnt start and i should check antivirus software and so on.

Problem and fix:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSI_Central_Service
Old Path for DragonCenter is in the Registry Key ImagePath, so MSI Center wouldnt start.
After modifying it myself to the right folder here:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\MSI_Central_Service.exe"

it starts at least now.

btw: uninstalled DragonCenter complete with the MSI Diagnostic Tool 1.0.0.06
and tried a few times with adminprivilegues a new install of MSI Center

edit:
it started, Mysticlight installed and works for the motherboard itself (B550 Tomahawk)

v1.0.20

Trying to register my motherboard (MAG x570 Tomahawk WiFi), it is asking for a location, but there is nothing in the drop-down list, yet it asks for something to be entered there if I press submit.

v1.2.20
I've got this one mb

And MC shows this after advanced bios scan:

Any chances to have some info on what happens here?...

Will installing this MSI Center repair the damage that installing Dragon Center caused? I was only recently, after extensive internet research, able to disable the Nahimic Virus that Dragon Center infected my system with. I will NEVER buy another MSI product, until they address, and rectify, the problems they have caused their customers by forcing Nahimic down their throats!!! Anyone who has installed the god awful Dragon Center knows EXACTLY what I am talking about. You should not have to buy a special uninstaller just to eliminate a unwanted program/virus that a manufacturer sneaks onto your computer without asking.

Hi
MSI will fix this in next release. In the meantime please register through the website, or wait for the release.

I downloaded MSI Center then installed both MC and the SDK on my computer but after it keep telling me that I don't have internet connection to initialize MSI Center (?)

The Z590 Gaming Carbon WiFi is my first MSI board and I installed MSI Center and Mystic Lights. It works like a charm on my View 51 and my only Gripe is the Logo's on the Board are partially blocked by the GPU and CPU Cooler, its good fun playing around with the different effects and looks cool in the dark :)

Hi
Not all features work in version 1.0.20.0 as standard user account (regardless if launch as admin or not). Of the 4 features I have installed Gaming Mode, Mystic Light, True Color and User Scenario, only 2 work; User Scenario and Gaming Mode. Also can't uninstall any features as standard user account (again run as admin is applied-fails then crashes or stalls out and have to force close using taskmgr)

The troubleshooting steps I have done.
1. Restarted MSI Center or Mystic_Light_Services didnt help.

2. Exited out of application on taskbar.

3. Tried to launch MSI Center as admin prompted 3 times could not launch. Can not find c:\program files\windowsapps\9426Micro-starinternation.msicenter_1.0.20.x64...\DCv2.exe

4. Unhid C:\Program Files\WindowsApps in folder options. Then to c:\program files\windowsapps\9426Micro-starinternation.msicenter_1.0.20.x64...\DCv2.exe and ran as admin launch screen shows MSI Center version 1.0.19.0?
Opened True Color, click EyeRest, Game Movie, Customize, Default; no change and tried Mystic Light never opens.

5. Went to 9426MICRO-STARINTERNATION.MSICenter_1.0.20.0_x64__kzh8wxbdkxb8p properties, security, advance, change, select local admin user, check names pre-populated tech. Check box replace all child object permissions, okay. What was the purpose of this? So the Can not find did not message again.

6. Once ownership took place went back to step 2, then step 3 launched without a problem. Tried MC, opened True Color, click EyeRest, Game Movie, Customize, Default; no change and tried Mystic light never opens.

7. Log in as tech account and all features work including install or uninstall. I am not Tech, I am standard user! Must find an alternative.

Workaround: Uninstall all features minus User Scenario in MC.
Install Mystic Light 2.0.0.30 from known good "File" server. Mystic Light is working, as standard user, Yeah!!! MC User Scenario is working, as standard user (always did), Yeah!!!

Other thoughts: Why spend $100 on motherboard plus get cool lights for an App that does not work? Yet I see all the people claim to have no problems.
Mystic Light worked in Dragon Center 2.0.108.0 logged in as standard user. True Color did not. True Color is not a big deal from me since I can change setting on my monitor: Bluish, Cool, Native, Warm or User Color. It was just nice to click on it when I wanted too-EyeRest was neat. I tried Dragon Center 2.0.109.0 and Mystic Light wasn't listed as the standard user. Magoo!
Not all Microsoft Store apps require admin rights, I don't understand what the big fuss was before. And MSI run as admin, if you have to be an admin to install why to use? Then again MSI Gaming App gave this same problem. Would only run being logged in as admin (tech). Even though it started with windows and was on the taskbar.

Thank you MSI for giving us a partially working app!

Collection Tool report attached

Happy findings :)

i think you answer most of your question already, it's all about system privilege. This is not the only software that does not work very well in user account unfortunately :bonk:I don't use user account myself, but from my understanding, though user/admin account uses different "UI skin aka MSI Center", but it shares the same "SDK aka MSI Center SDK" which is saved in admin account. Imaging if you put the PS5 in your friend's house, you won't be able to play it unless you have the key to enter the house.

Known Issue: RGB No Longer Work (Lose control & Flash randomly) after Installing ICUE v4.11.274 + Windows Language Changes to French Restart/Sign out

2. Short JT1 pin (2 pin from the right) with a pen for 5 seconds when PC is turned off
1622716565961.png

3. Download firmware below and flash the firmware again
1622716601696.png

4. Enable on-board physical LED switch again
Solution: Update firmware to the version below and you can install iCUE again!
Note. If your LED is out of control, do steps above first then update firmware
