Hello MSI fans,

Here comes the beta version of fan control application for MSI laptops.

Required SCM before installation	YES	NO

System Requirement:
1. MSI SCM utility must be installed.(Except for Skylake version)
2. For Windows 7, please install .NET Framework 4.0.
For Windows 8/8.1, please install .NET Framework 4.0 or newer version.
3. Require administrator privilege during the installation.
4. Only supports on some models.
Please refer to the model list in PDF file for Haswell and Broadwell.

5. Only supports MSI branded models.

Simple Introductions:
1. Download and extract the installer to your local disk, right-click setup.exe, and select "Run as administrator" to install.

2. Restart Windows, and it will become a resident process in the System Tray. Double-click the Silent Option icon to open it.

3.Default settings screen.
Haswell, Broadwell

Skylake version

4. Simple mode (Haswell, Broadwell)/ Basic mode (Skylake)
Haswell, Broadwell

Skylake version

5. Advanced mode
Haswell, Broadwell

Skylake version

6. Advanced mode allows you to backup the customized values.(Not available in Skylake version)

Can you use MSI "System Information Export tool" to export the system information and post the basic configuration? Thank you.

Sorry to make you all confused, please check following system requirements before you install Silent Option, thank you.

Silent Option System requirement:
1. MSI SCM application must be installed.
2. WIN7

lease install .Net Framework 4.0.
WIN8: Please install .Net Framework 4.0 or later version.
3. Admisnitstrator right on SilentOption installation.
4. Only supports limited models. Please refer to model list PDF file.
5. Only supports MSI laptop channel models.

For model support list, please download the link file on topic and extract Zip to get PDF list.

I'm having the same problem (got a GE72 2QE) and the other requirements are correct. (also installed with Admin Rights)

I reinstalled with admin right and got the same problem.
The PDF says that GE 60 2PE APACHE PRO is compatible with the software, so why isnt working?
Also Framework 4.5 is installed in my computer.

I hope you fix problems because it seems like that application will be very useful since sometimes I'm in the library and I would like that my laptop would be quieter.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your test and information. We are studying the problem root cause.

If your model is GT72, GE60 2Qx/2Px or GS60 2Qx, and encounter any problem, you can try this "SilentOptionCleaner"
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1oSMeecH6wcRWwyMlI3eXpFVE0/view?usp=sharing

Double click SilentOptionCleaner.exe to execute, and it will reset EC FAN table. Restart OS and execute Silent Option again.

Your feedback can help MSI improve this FAN utility.
