  • How to install Dragon Center/Creator Center if I have already installed MSI Center?
Why do you want to do that? But if you insist on making the “wrong decision”,
    • 1. Follow the steps above to uninstall MSI Center and MSI Center SDK.
    • 2. Search for MSI Dragon Center/MSI Creator Center in Microsoft Store to install Dragon Center/Creator Center.
    • 3. Waiting for the installation to complete.
  • Why does Dragon Center ask to uninstall MSI Center SDK before installing?

  • This is what you get for not liking MSI Center, but you can fix it by opening command prompt and type “reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MSI” and enter “yes” after.
    Note.
Make sure no MSI Center registry key left in the specific path

Yeah, report it to my contact yesterday and they say we can try it again today! :undecided: Hope they really figure out what is wrong.
Make sure you reboot the PC and MSI Center should apply the fix to itself.

Yeah done that, same thing, still not fixed.

EDIT. All working now, needed 2 reboots by the look of it,

How that thing applied the fix I have no idea however it seems to work now all modules are visible without ADMIN Warning
Thanks to you and your contact :)

still not working for me. Tried Clean Center Master, ccleaner, fresh install of 2.0.16.0, several restarts, SDK set to Auto Update.
Any other ideas?
EDIT: Just created a local account and installed some features.

So MSI wants me to create a 2nd account with Admin privledges on my PC after this whole data breach thing? This is ridiculous. I've reistalled, rebooted several times, and still wants a 2nd account.

you could retrieve the old version using this method,
go to this site,
put the msi center url and search,
then download the appxbundle from it

install with powershell (admin),
Add-AppxPackage -Path "Path-to-File"
"Path-to-File" = where you save the appxbundle file
see if it works for you.

This Firmware update for the LED needed to be more streamlined. I noticed that on mainboads other than AMD, this seems to be done differently.

As you can see in the screenshots, I'm a little confused by the update process.
I did what the manual says, but I can't download this firmware 3.0 to my mainboard through the MSI Center. No update is identified.

I looked in the post here and there was a repository that doesn't seem to be up to date, which contained a method that I thought was much better, but the firmware is two versions older.

What causes the most confusion is seeing that the information differs greatly about the updated firmware version, applied and supposedly available. Someone from MSI here to simplify the understanding?

that is the "manual" version, if you can't scan more recent firmware in Liveupdate, it means there's no newer one.
The firmware you had is not for you, you prob need something like v0A instead of vA7.
I truly appreciate the help.
It's still confusing for me.
Good! If I don't need it anymore, great. But, in my understanding, I am 2 outdated versions of the firmware that points to be 1.0 and 3.0 on the site.

Jeez! I found a video that clarified this madness there. I actually have version 3.0 on the site and it's equivalent to version 0.9.
MSI needs to review this. It unnecessarily causes confusion for your customers.
I was lucky that in the video it's the same mainboard as mine.

that guy from the video is using B550 Tomahawk not Edge. If you search "7C91" on MSI website, you know B550 Tomahawk Max wifi, Torpedo, Gaming edge wifi, tomahawk are all labelled as 7C91. That is prob why you see version 1.0, 2.0. 3.0 which refers to the PCB version. Usually you can see it printed on top right of your PCB.

These are numbers that matter You using Board Model 7C91_1.0 Version 09 so you are up to date
1684997314523.png

Another is using Board Model 7D91_2.0
1684997967704.png

And having several 7C91 can look confusing till you notice the second set of numbers and understand what they designate

If you need to update your Firmware and MSI centre won't do it just ask and we can have a look. The preferred method is MSI Center_Live Update_Advanced Scan

MSI b450-A Pro Max. Windows 10 Pro 22H2.
MSI Center 2.0.16: The installation process completes, but there is no application to launch. Folder C:\program files\MSI, or Program files (x86)\MSI is also not created
MsiC v 2.0.14 and older working good, but after some wrong instalation I can`t install older version too.
Tried to install from power shell - screen attached. Used clean master and all available known methods - it`s broken. Microsoft Store was irrevocably removed by Win10tweaker. What can I do except reinstall Windows?
