e. Re-install MSI Center from scratch again
  • How to install Dragon Center/Creator Center if I have already installed MSI Center?
Why do you want to do that? But if you insist on making the “wrong decision”,
    • 1. Follow the steps above to uninstall MSI Center and MSI Center SDK.
    • 2. Search for MSI Dragon Center/MSI Creator Center in Microsoft Store to install Dragon Center/Creator Center.
    • 3. Waiting for the installation to complete.
  • Why does Dragon Center ask to uninstall MSI Center SDK before installing?

  • This is what you get for not liking MSI Center, but you can fix it by opening command prompt and type “reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MSI” and enter “yes” after.
    Note.
Make sure no MSI Center registry key left in the specific path

Hi,
I've an "mpg x570 gaming pro carbon wifi" and i've tried to install Msi center from Windows store, but i don't found Supercharger anymore. Is it no more available from msi center?
I'm on Windows 10 1909.
Thanks.

Just discovered this thread!

So I know some have had this problem before, but here goes - I have a new MAG x870 Tomahawk, latest bios.

I install Center 2.0.42.0. It then asks me to run Center, which I do. This asks me to agree to the Privacy Policy and then I hit install.

It then asks me to exit Center, restart it, and accept the Windows security dialogue, which I do, taking me back to agreeing to the Privacy Policy, and so on.

I've tried everything I can think of, including turning off IPV6 etc, resetting the app etc, but nothing works! It sure would be nice to turn off some of the horrible RGB stuff I have going on AND set my fans properly.

Any ideas?

I found the answer to my above problem after a few days trying to figure it out.

Install was failing because I changed my default Program Files location to drive D:, which it apparently `didn't like! Was it worth the work? Not sure about that one!

MSI Center v2.0.44.0 Known Bug
- System Language : Spanish, MSI Center > Hardware Monitoring > CPU Usage stays 0%
- Cooling Wizard does not apply customize fan curve until manually opens cooling wizard
Temp Fix:
● Unzip file
● Right click "go.bat" file and select "Run as administrator"
Solution will be included in next MSI Center update v2.0.45.0 (ETA 11/19)

Why is this software so rubbish?

I have my system set up to use drive D:\ for Program Files. I had to revert to C:\ to successfully install and run it.

Having now put my default back to drive D:\, the software won't even run and tries to re-install itself unsuccessfully.

This makes this completely useless to me as I'm not moving all my programs back to C: just to run this, so until this is fixed, I'm out. I will try iCue in the meantime

Please MSI - fix this!

Edit: Nope - you have to have MSI Center installed as well! Why can't this app install on drive D:?

Well, I'm still totally underwhelmed by MSI Center.
It's only on my system for Mystic Light, as I don't have time to research & learn other RGB control packages.
What the heck is the absurdly slow install and opening times about?
And, when it eventually loads, the Mystic light UI "remake" hasn't been made it to all the screens!
It doesn't make a good advert for my MPG X640E Carbon WiFi, with Ryzen 9 7950X!

MSI: Why don't you open-source this piece of junk?
We'll have a decent, working, usefull, App in slightly less than no time at all!

I have a new MSI raider, all drivers and chips working fine. My Mystic Light howerver shows no keyboard light control so I am writing this without any backlight. Is there a work around to not use mystic light?

Thanks, for the quick temporary fix!

I'm using MSI Z790 Carbon Wifi Motherboard (7D89) along with MSI RTX 4070 Super Ventus 2x OC while using MSI Center to monitor stats and manage hardware. What bugs me is why there is no GPU temperature being displayed on the hardware monitoring page? clearly there is space below the cpu socket temperature which can be seen in the attached image. I request the engineers / developers who are working on the next version of MSI Center is to please include the GPU temperature stat which will not only complete the aesthetic look of the page but also the empty space will be better utilized, as it will help us to monitor the gpu temp from the msi center rather than opening overlays or using task manager. Please, provide this for the people who use MSI motherboards along with MSI graphic cards.

Don't know if it's been discussed, but it hasn't been fixed yet. MSI Center long ago had had toggles for overriding CPU and fans controls from those of Bios. A couple of versions ago the Fan part was separated from the User scenario mudule into the Cooling wizard, so the toggle for fan control override disappeared. I suppose being smart like it says here:
1730456245351.png

... the Cooling wizard should take control of the fans as soon as the OS starts. But it does not. I have to manually open this module in the MSI Center after every PC loading to make the Cooling wizard work.
I emailed MSI support, they sent me the previous version and some beta of the MSI Center and the Cooling wizard doesn't start automatically there either. Any ideas? Does anyone have the same behavior?
PS: the MSI techs are informed about this issue, so I hope it'll be fixed in the future versions
MSI Center 2.0.44.0

I am sorry if it is unrelated, but I bought a MSI B550 MPG Gaming Plus and it is such an beatiful and awesome board.

I used openRGB to test how to setup the leds of my system, while it works fine and I can change all leds, I would like to restory to factory standards the argb of the mobo, is there anyway I could do it? I am kind of new to the way MSI does things in UEFI, but it seems a great UEFI. Some IA said I should look in Settings -> Advanced Peripherals -> ARGB something, but I cant find the option there or any other places. (I mean, even to reset the UEFI Secure Boot to Setup Mode to install Linux and use it was a bit challenging, I had to google it - But somehow I like how it is done by MSI).

I want to restore to factory settings because the CPU Fan and Memory were in a beatiful rainbow sync, while the memory restored itself after a complete power off (Corsair Dominator), the CPU FAN doesnt light up at all. I can change it in openRGB, but the rebranded chinese CPU FAN seems to always default to green if any color is set above 250. If I set the RGB 0,0,80 which is a dark blue, it works fine across all leds (mobo, memory, cpu fan), if I change to RGB 0,0,255 (or even 254) the CPU Fan goes green light all over instead of blue. OpenRGB allows me to change it to a rainbow pattern, but doesnt allow me to edit the colors, and their random colors are always defaulting to green in the CPU FAN.

There is an easy solution which is to replace the CPU Fan, but might not be able to do it right now. So I think that if I can reset the mobo argb it might go back to the default ARGB.

The CPU Fan is a Sage V2 which is a rebrand from a chinese brand by a brazillian store. Also I am using Linux, so using the MSI software might not work (I could run it through wine, but I am pretty sure it will fail since it is a app that depends on windows dll/kernel to change the hardware).
